The Journey of Adam Kormondy

I’m dedicated to not just performing, but also to educating and nurturing musical talent. My approach blends creativity with structured learning, ensuring that each student discovers their unique path. Through personalized instruction, I seek to foster a love for music that transcends traditional boundaries.

My musical journey began in the vibrant local music scene of Southern California, studying piano starting from the age of 6 and exploring a diverse range of instruments and styles throughout middle and high school. For college I studied Jazz Piano Performance and Philosophy of Law at UC Irvine, working with Miles Davis-alumnus Kei Akagi to develop my improvisational and compositional senses. After graduating I returned home to the South Bay, where ever since I’ve worked as a performer and teacher.

As an instructor, I have worked with a diverse variety of students from ages 4-89 across all experience levels. From brand-new beginners to seasoned professionals, we have worked together to develop their individual musical voices and create an educated foundation for further musical development.
